These rockers are coming together during the epic BC Seafood Festival, 2018, to raise money for Comox Valley Child Development Association.

“It’s been a long time since the Comox Valley rocked so what better way to do it than with Comox Valley Rocks for Kids!” explains Courtenay native, singer, songwriter and two-time Juno Awards winner Brian Howes. “Rock n’ Roll has taken me all over the world now it’s time to bring the Rock back home.”

Remember these “bad boys”? I am sure you do, songs from rebels telling it like it was, “…my name is trouble”. Now trouble with a cause is going to reunite for little up-and-coming rebels.

The Comox Valleys own YOUNG GUN featuring Brian Howes, Chris Comley, Dave Worden, Brett Leslie Anthony, Bobby James and Roy Worden will take you back to a time of youthful energy and mind-freedoms. Unlike the days of being a rebel without a cause, you have this first-time opportunity to rock out for a reason.

Free fall your way into the day with this group that will get you feeling nostalgic for simpler times. When was the last time you sang it out loud with wide open arms? “I am free, free falling!”. Comox Valleys own PURE PETTY are the second act on stage at the Comox Valley Rocks for Kids Festival on Saturday, June 9th at the Comox Valley Marina Park.

Rocker women of the eighties, broke the mold and stomped on the shattered pieces. These ladies led the way for today’s female artists. Come out and get all fired up with tributes to the greats. “All Fired Up” as Pat Benatar will lead you astray and remind you, “our deepest cuts are healed by faith”. The time when everything falls in place is now when these rock musicians come together to raise some serious funds for Comox Valley Child Development Association.

The Comox Valley Child Development Association is committed to the support of children, youth, young adults, their families, and caregivers so that the lives of children, youth, young adults, parents, staff, and the child care community are enriched educationally, emotionally, socially, and physically.

The BC Seafood Festival has grown to become the largest seafood festival in Western Canada showcasing the biggest line-up of renowned guest chefs and chef demonstrations, new and enhanced competitions, incredible seafood & beverage tasting stations, live entertainment and interactive sea-life touch tanks. The festival has expanded for 2018 to include the new Signature Weekend event running June 15 -17th. www.bcseafoodfestival.com
