Mowi, the world’s largest producer of farm-raised Atlantic Salmon, has earned the esteemed Good Housekeeping Seal for its unwavering commitment to delivering healthy and delectable seafood from its aquaculture operations around the world.

The Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) conducts thorough evaluations of products holding the Seal to verify the accuracy of products claims and to ensure that the products deliver on their promises.

In addition to assessing taste and quality, GHI scrutinizes the manufacturer’s Quality Assurance policies to guarantee that the products maintain the outstanding quality exemplified in the Good Housekeeping labs.

Mowi, in a statement, said it has earned the Good Housekeeping Seal for five products, including:
– Mowi Atlantic Salmon Portions 2 x 6oz
– Mowi Atlantic Salmon Plain Single Portion 6oz
– Mowi Atlantic Salmon Honey Maple Single Portion 6oz
– Mowi Atlantic Salmon Sweet Bourbon Single Portion 6oz
– Mowi Atlantic Salmon Tuscan Herb Single Portion 6oz

“We are honored to have our products earn the Good Housekeeping Seal. This accolade underscores our dedication to providing consumers with exceptional seafood experiences,” said Joe Fidalgo, Managing Director of Mowi CP of Americas.

Mowi USA is located in Florida where salmon is flown in daily from Canada, Chile, Norway and other fish farms around the world.

The freshness and quality of Mowi Atlantic Salmon can be attributed to innovative skin-packaging techniques, which ensure the product remains fresh and transparent for consumers to appreciate, the company said.

“Mowi Salmon is conveniently available both in stores and online, with short delivery times. Depending on the location, it may take up to 72 hours from sea to store, maintaining optimal temperatures to ensure freshness. Mowi Salmon is offered in various sizes, including the new Individual 6 oz portions, perfect for quick meals.”

With operations in 25 countries and over 14,000 employees, Mowi, which has been operating since 1964, fulfills a significant portion of the global demand for farm-raised Atlantic salmon.

The company has consistently topped the  Coller FAIRR Protein Producer Index for the past five years – a global assessment of the largest meat, dairy and farmed fish producers in the world.

Meanwhile, a research study by Global Market Insights Inc. said the salmon fish market valuation is projected to be worth USD 35.5 billion by 2032.

“As consumers recognize the nutritional benefits of seafood, including its high protein content and omega-3 fatty acids, the demand for seafood as a protein source continues to rise,” stated the report.

This trend is driven by factors such as increasing health consciousness, dietary preferences for lean protein sources, and the growing popularity of seafood-based diets, the researchers found.

“Aquaculture has expanded in recent years, addressing various challenges faced by traditional wild-caught fisheries, such as overfishing and environmental concerns. Salmon aquaculture provides controlled breeding environments, efficient feed utilization, and alleviates pressure on wild fish stocks. Additionally, advancements in aquaculture technology have boosted efficiency, yields, and sustainability in salmon farming operations, thereby fostering salmon fish market growth,” the report said.
