Shelome Bouvette, owner and executive chef of Chicha’s, a modern Peruvian fusion tapas restaurant, is regarded as one of the female pioneers in the culinary industry with her signature modern west coast Latin fusion.
A veteran Vancouver chef, as well as trained pastry Chef, and member of the highly regarded women culinary and hospitality innovators and leaders association, “Les Dames Escoffier” (BC Chapter).
Shelome worked in her formative years learning and training with many of the city’s cutting edge chef’s and restaurants; Bin 942, Delilah’s, Allegro and Ballantine’s to name a few.
Today she continues to expand her love of Latin flavors and fresh, local west coast ingredients. She marries both these passions to create beautiful, colourful, fresh, flavourful Peruvian classics with a modern West Coast twist.
