Marine Harvest’s Human Resources team has been selected as a finalist for a prestigious Canadian HR Award.
This award recognizes the most outstanding HR team of the year, in an organization with 500 employees or more in Canada.
Marine Harvest operates salmon farms on the coast of British Columbia and Vancouver Island, where 530 people produce 45,000 tonnes of sustainable farm-raised Atlantic salmon each year.
“The finalists are the best of the best,” said Jessica Duce, Project Director of Canadian HR Awards.
“They demonstrate the resilience, innovation and sheer management smarts it takes to build a thriving people-centred business today. Success stories like theirs are the lifeblood of HR in Canada.”
“For our little group from Campbell River to be selected as a finalist for this National Award is humbling and beyond the wildest of expectations,” said Dean Dobrinsky, Marine Harvest’s HR Director.
“This team is incredibly talented, dedicated, and truly care about making a better workplace for their coworkers. They strive to make every day better.”
Now in its fifth year, the Canadian HR Awards has become the biggest and most prestigious showcase of excellence in the Canadian human resources industry. There are over 20 organizational and individual award categories — with new categories added yearly — designed to ensure national recognition for both large and small organizations.
Winners will be picked by industry experts and announced on September 20.
